Café Sotavento
We believe coffee production is an art-form, achieved through inherited knowledge. In every cup of Café Sotavento, you will enjoy the balanced interaction between the coffee tree, the land, the environment and the passion of a coffee producer. Our Hacienda Anita is located in the southern slopes of the Guilarte Forest Natural Reserve, in Guayanilla, Puerto Rico, with a biodiverse flora and fauna that results in the ideal synergy for the production of specialty coffee. Our agroforestry practices, selective harvesting, cutting-edge processing and roasting techniques are meticulously implemented to ensure an unparalleled experience.
Meet the Producer
Remy Rodríguez Chardon is a young, first generation coffee farmer in the town of Guayanilla, PR. With a background in agronomy and soil sciences, he prioritizes traditional agroforestry practices that promote the conservation of the region's natural resources such as soil, water, air and biodiversity. With hard work and dedication, Remy grows, harvests, processes and roasts his coffees with great attention to details for you to enjoy a great cup of Puerto Rican coffee.
